Learning and development

Alongside the training of the wider FCDO Services team, there are some specific options in place to help our Finance team excel:

  • Two different Finance apprenticeship options mean there’s plenty of scope for entry-level training
  • Colleagues are supported to gain managerial qualifications, including Lean 6 Sigma training at yellow, green and black belt level
  • We make case study support available for any colleagues aiming for Accountancy qualifications, e.g. CIMA, ACCA, and AAT

Both the Finance team and the HR team are acting as subject matter experts this year to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning system with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

This year, our efficient billing team generated more than £200m in invoices – a record for our organisation.
